Now offering seven different lodging options for your group to choose from. We offer cabins, lodge rooms, and condos in order to fit any travel budget and need.

Recreation

Every package includes a choice between one recreation activity: skiing, snowboarding, downhill tubing, gondola rides, snowcat tours, or snowshoe tours.

Performance

Groups compete against same school size, ensemble type and level. Comments and ratings are provided by 3 recognized and experienced adjudicators.

Awards & Street Dance

Each festival week concludes with an exciting outdoors awards ceremony and DJ’d Street Dance at the base of Winter Park Resort.

Select ONE festival package for your entire music group.  Each member of your group receives the same.

Festival Packages Include:

Overnight lodging

Every registered attendee will receive an overnight bed space for the number of nights within a group’s chosen lodging facility. Groups can choose to stay 2,3, or 4 nights in one of our seven different lodging options.

Participation in performance

Groups will compete each week with ensembles of similar size and performance skill. A panel of three respected adjudicators will provide constructive feedback and score the competing groups. Each festival week ends with a highly energetic awards ceremony and DJ’d street dance.

Choice of ONE recreation activity

Every registered attendee will have mountain recreation included, and will choose between 3 days of skiing or snowboarding (including lift card, equipment rental & beginner lesson), OR redeem vouchers for our non-ski activities: downhill tubing, gondola rides, snowcat tours, and/or snowshoe tours.

Destination: Winter Park, Colorado

Just imagine your band, choir or orchestra traveling into the majestic Rocky Mountains west of Denver, crossing this nation’s visually breathtaking Continental Divide, descending into Winter Park, nestled in a valley surrounded by beautiful snow-covered mountain peaks towering over 13,000 feet in elevation. Outside of the classroom setting, directors find it really comfortable traveling with their students to a breathtaking outdoor geographical location, in the safe, less populated, slower paced Winter Park, Colorado.

What to Expect

Something For Everyone!

WPSMF offers many different festival packages for a group to choose from.  The differences are simply which overnight lodging choice to stay within, and the number of nights (2-4) you wish to stay, best fulfilling your travel desires and budget. Each festival package, for each group member, includes their overnight lodging bed space, choice of recreation activity(s), and participation in all festival activities.

For example, any group member choosing to ski or snowboard will receive a 3 day lift card, 3 days of rental equipment, and a beginner lesson.  Or, we offer substitute mountain activities for non-skiers.

Resources for Registered Groups

Ski Locker

Is a website dedicated specifically for the directors of our registered groups. This online resource contains all festival information for group directors, third party travel planners, or adults assisting with trip planning. All the small details are answered here, along with printable maps and more.

Start Gate

Is the “start”  website for all students and adults registered to attend the festival. Group members can learn about the available recreation options they have to choose from, suggested clothing, items to pack, helpful information to prevent altitude sickness, printable maps and more. All attending students and adults will be required to read specific WPSMF Start Gate topics before being directed to individually register within WPSMF Online.

WPSMF App

We have teamed up with guidebook to create an app accessible by all registered directors during their time with us at festival. The WPSMF App will allow directors to access all the pertinent information provided on Ski Locker via their smart phone while on the mountain and stay in the know. Important updates and notification to groups will be sent via the app during the festival.

WPSMF Online

Is a web portal for student and adult group members to login, and complete their individual registration to attend the festival. They can select their recreation choice, input their ski/snowboard equipment rental information, add emergency contact/medical  information, and more. Group “admins” assigned by the director, are able to views a group’s current Billing Invoices, and the group’s Trip Information Report. WPSMF Online is where names of all members will be entered, performance information is entered, performance equipment is requested, build group rooming lists, and monitor the progress of individual member registrations. Any trip changes made with a WPSMF staff person can be viewed instantly within WPSMF Online.
