Snow Mountain Ranch has a shuttle van used on premises. This van can transport about 10 persons at a time. Call the front desk to request a shuttle during its normal operating hours. Larger groups may not be able to have all their members shuttled due to van capacity and time constraints of authorized driver. During or after your check-in, request a calendar or agenda from the front desk, for that week’s planned activities, throughout Snow Mountain Ranch and the rec center. Share with your students afterwards.
- Although most groups choose cabins to save on meal costs, use the same Snow Mountain Ranch commissary for prepared meals if you desire. Order through festival well ahead of time.
- Local ski shuttle does not service Snow Mountain Ranch. A group must have their own transportation to and from the Winter Park Resort.
- Discounted bus driver lodging available within nearby lodge rooms for groups staying within cabins

The cabins will not contain any food products or coffee, except perhaps salt and pepper left behind from other groups. Cabins will have a limited number of hand towels, hot pads and trash can liners in each cabin. Groups are asked to bring paper towels, paper napkins, and extra trash liners for excessive trash needs.
- Each kitchen has a refrigerator, stove top oven, microwave, coffee maker, sink disposal and dishwasher. Some of the larger 7 & 8 bedroom cabins have two of these kitchen appliances.
- Each Lodge room will have towels/wash cloths, bedding, hair dryers, and hand soap dispensers. Shampoo and conditioner are not included and should be brought by every guest. Maid service, fresh towels and changed bedding is not available each day. Any group member can exchange their provided towels, and bed linens for fresh ones at the Snow Mountain Ranch laundry facilities (located next to pool center) anytime during its daily operating hours.

In the event of inclement weather, with enough snowfall to conceal the roadways, simply contact the Snow Mountain Ranch front desk to request a snowplow to clear the roadways for easy navigation. The Snow Mountain Ranch road maintenance members are experienced with buses and motor coaches, and should be relied upon for whether Snow Mountain roadways can be safely accessed or not. Typically, with use of their snow removal equipment, any bus or motor coach can get to and from every cabin.
Beaver Village Condos
- Located near downtown Winter Park. Located 2 miles north of the Winter Park Resort, and about 350 yards south of the Vasquez Road intersection in downtown Winter Park. This is not Beavers Village Lodge across the hwy. The front desk is inside the clubhouse, first driveway on the left, about 75 yards from the hwy, with sign saying “check-in parking”.
- Each group’s Trip Info report (on WPSMF Online for directors) has overnight lodging facility address, contact info, earliest check-in time, latest checkout times, and front desk location.
- Late evening check-in and Emergency On-call service: If you will be arriving after the front desk closes for the night at 10:00 pm, enter the unlocked foyer area of Beaver Village Condo Clubhouse and locate the locked wooden box that is on the wall near the phone (opposite of the front door). If you do not already have the combination for the lock box, please call our After-Hours Emergency line below to get that combination. Once you have the combination: align the numbers on the bottom of the lock, push up and then pull down on the lock to gain access. You will find the envelopes in the box with your group name, then replace the lock. The envelope will contain directions to your condos, keys, and instructions for check-in at the front desk the following morning. You must check-in first thing the following morning at the front desk, opening at 8:00 am. If you have any problems gaining access to the box or locating your condos, please call the After-Hours Emergency line (970)531-2256. This number is also mentioned in Beaver Village Condos’ (Stay Winter Park management company) after hours prompt when calling the front desk outside of normal business hours.
- All condos are non-smoking. If smoking occurs in a condo, guests will incur a $250.00 fine and will be removed without refund.
- Walk into town, or ride the free ski shuttle to town or the Winter Park Resort. At Beaver Village condos, there are 5 different cul-de-sacs condos are located within. Typically, our music groups are assigned condos within the 3 upper, larger cul-de-sacs, further away from the main building and highway entrance. Within each cul-de-sac, there is at least one ski shuttle pickup and drop off location (marked with a sign) that your members should gather at for a shuttle ride to the ski resort. The shuttle bus will not pick up riders anywhere else within Beaver Village condos. except where marked with a sign. Have your group members take a mental picture, or know which building #, or cul-de-sac their condo is located within, which is useful when being dropped off at the end of the day.
- Information if your group will be using the free ski shuttle: The ski shuttle route that goes directly within Beaver Village condos is the YELLOW route. Click Here to view the ski shuttle website page for the Yellow route. After going to to that web page, notice there are several tabs, the first 2 being “weekday” and “weekend & holiday”. Click on the “weekend & holiday” if you are attending the March 26-29, 2020 festival week. Click on the “weekday” tab if you are attending any of the April 2020 festival weeks. Print that schedule, for specific times the shuttle will come through Beaver Village Condos, both morning and afternoon. The Yellow route does not operate during the evenings and nights. Notice the schedule shows Beaver Village building number (which you will learn after you check-in) pick-up & drop off times. Now that you have printed the ski shuttle times, with the time they leave the resort, and come through Beaver Village condos (the Beaver Village building # times), consider this: If you are attending our March festival week, the last time of the day the shuttle passes through the Beaver Village condos is 5:23-5:36 pm. Notice for that drop off time, you would have to load the shuttle at the resort at 5:18 pm! If you are attending one of our April festival weeks, the last time of the day the shuttle passes through the Beaver Village condos is 4:58-5:06pm. Notice for that drop off time, you would have to load the shuttle at the resort at 4:48 pm! Be sure and plan to leave the resort before either the 5:18 pm (March) or 4:48 pm (April) resort depart time to have the shuttle drop you off within your cul de sac. Consider whether your group will all fit on the one shuttle bus! Would it be wise to load the 2nd latest resort depart time, just in case it would require more than one shuttle for your group to get back to the condos? If your group, or persons within your group were to finish skiing later, and/or didn’t make this last shuttle departure time, choose another color route (Black, Red, or Blue), and depart the shuttle along the Northbound hwy at the front entrance of Beavers Village condos. This drop off location will require a short uphill hike to the upper cul-de-sacs. Similarly, when getting to from your condos to the resort in the mornings, look what times they pick you up. If the buses are too full to accommodate your entire group, walk down to the hwy, and catch a southbound shuttle to the resort.
- Tips when using the ski shuttles:
- 1.Persons need to wait immediately by the shuttle stop prior to its arrival, for a driver may not stop or pull into the cul-de-sac if it appears there is no one awaiting to be picked up.
- 2. Each shuttle bus has a maximum occupancy. There may be a chance a ski shuttle bus may not be able to accommodate your entire group. There may be other passengers from Beavers and within town already on the bus prior to your loading. Plan for one, two or three shuttle buses getting your entire group to and from the resort at the different shuttle times listed on the shuttle schedule.
- 3. If using the yellow line seems to be congested with other passengers when attempting to get to the resort, any group staying at Beavers can use ANY ski shuttle bus route color stopping at the shuttle stop at the hwy in front of the Beaver Condos Entrance. There will be multiple route buses stopping there any time persons are awaiting at the stop.
- 4. Likewise, if the yellow line is congested at the resort, and a quicker shuttle to Beavers is desired, persons can load the Black, Red, and/or Blue color shuttle route, and ask to be dropped off at Beaver Village Condos. These shuttles will drop off on across highway from Beaver’s entrance. Using non-yellow color routes will require persons to walk a longer distance, uphill to thier condo.
- 5. When staying at Beavers, and relying on the ski shuttle buses for any reason, we suggest someone within the group downloading a Lift Rider app on a cell phone (Iphone or Android) for live shuttle bus locations, more accurate arrival stop times and more.
- Your members can also shuttle to the restaurants and shopping located in the town of Winter Park, or the grocery stores located in Fraser, just north of Winter Park. Group members can also walk to town.
- Most condos sleep at least 6 persons within 2 bedrooms and living area. The 2 bedroom condos have 2 full baths, one bath is located in a bedroom, and the other in the hallway serving the remaining four guests. Six persons are situated as follows: two persons in bedroom #1 with a king or queen bed. At least two persons in bedroom #2 with a queen bed, or twin beds, or bunk beds, or some combination. Two persons on the living room pull out sofa. There may be instances when the festival will assign more than six persons to a 2 bedroom condo. If so, Beavers will provide a condo with its bedroom #2 having more than 2 sleeping spaces, like a twin bed and a set of bunk beds for example.
- Occasionally, if needed, Beaver Village will have to provide a smaller 1 bedroom, or larger 3 bedroom, or even a 4 bedroom condo to keep a group within closer proximity to group’s other condos, or because of 2 bedroom condo inventories. Any type of condo, whether 1,2, 3, 4 bedrooms will be indicated within a group’s Trip Info report, and with the rooming list assignments, both within WPSMF Online.
- The festival’s Per Person Festival Package price is based on maximum condo occupancy. Empty bed space charge per space per night applies for condos filled less than maximum occupancy, except for one male student and one female student condo.
- Full kitchens in each condo unit for own meal preparation. This is a refrigerator, dishwasher, 4 burner cook top oven, coffee maker and microwave. Each cabin kitchen will have cookware, pots, pans, skillets, cooking utensils, and more for a group’s use. If your group is planning to cook within one condo, for many persons in several condos, chances are the condo’s pots, pans, and skillets will not be large enough. In other words, there will most likely not be a 5 gallon cooking pot in a 2 bedroom condo that sleeps 6 persons. The condos will not contain any food products or coffee, except items such as perhaps salt and pepper left behind from other groups.
- Each condo should have enough dining spaces to accommodate its sleeping capacity.
- Each condo will have dinnerware, flatware, drink ware, cups, and bowls for the number of persons it will accommodate. Condos will have a limited number of hand towels, hot pads and trash can liners. Groups are asked to bring paper towels, paper napkins, and extra trash liners for excessive trash needs.
- Each condo have towels/wash cloths, toilet paper, bedding, and hand soap. Shampoo and conditioner may be provided, but suggested to be brought by every guest. Maid service, fresh towels and changed bedding is not available each day. If needed, any group member, or a condo can exchange their provided towels, and bed linens for fresh ones at the front desk during its daily operating hours.
- Gas fireplaces and Wi-Fi are in each condo.
- The Beaver Village main building offers an indoor pool, three hot tubs, sauna, laundry vending, and even movies to rent. The main building has a meeting space, but is only available for use through a paid reservation. Your group members can walk to the main building, and to other cul-de-sacs using the vehicle roads, or walking paths. These lighted walking paths may be snow covered after significant snowfall. The pool area closes at 9:30 pm, 30 minutes before the front desk closes at 10:00 pm.
- Beaver Village now utilizes keyless locks to its condos. Each door code will be issued upon check-in, or differently if a group arrives outside of normal front desk hours.
The Vintage Hotel Condos
- Termed a “ski-in/out property” since vehicle transportation is not required between your lodging and ski slopes. Just ride the gondola lift to the base and walk to the ski lifts!
- Each group’s Trip Info report (on WPSMF Online for directors) has overnight lodging facility address, contact info, earliest check-in time, latest checkout times, and front desk location.
- The front desk for the Vintage is just inside the front doors. Your initial check-in will most likely be at this front desk with a resort lodging host, as indicated within your Trip Info report.
- Located just above the ski resort. Walk out the front door to the Village Cabriolet lift . The Cabriolet Lift is a free 2 minute gondola ride to the Winter Park Resort ski base, slopes and Resort Village. And from the resort base, your transportation back up to the Vintage. The Cabriolet lift hours are from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm each day
- Most condos are regular studios, sleeping 4 persons on two double beds, with no separate bedrooms.
- Each regular and lofted studios have a gas fireplace, cable TV and Wi-Fi.
- Each regular and lofted studio has a kitchenette (microwave with convection feature, 2 burner stove, under counter mini fridge, dish washer and coffee maker) for your own meal preparation. The kitchenette will contain pots, pans, and dishware appropriate for four guests. If your group is planning to cook within one condo, for many persons in several condos, chances are a condo’s pots, pans, and skillets will not be large enough. In other words, there will most likely not be a 5 gallon cooking pot in a studio that sleeps 4 persons. The condos will not contain any food products or coffee, except items such as perhaps salt and pepper left behind from other guests. Condos will have a limited number of hand towels, hot pads and trash can liners. Groups are asked to bring paper towels, paper napkins, and extra trash liners for excessive trash needs.
- When purchasing groceries to prepare meals in the condos, think about the amount of refrigerator and frozen food space available in an under the counter refrigerator.
- Each condo should have enough dining spaces to accommodate its sleeping capacity.
- Contact the festival when considering any meals to be eaten elsewhere for ideas and details. Ex. breakfasts at the resort base, dinners in town, etc…
- Each condo will have dinnerware, flatware, drink ware, cups, and bowls for the number of persons it will accommodate.
- Gas fireplaces and Wi-Fi are in each condo.
- Each condo will have towels/wash cloths, bedding, toilet paper and hand soap. Shampoo and conditioner may be provided, but suggested to be brought by every guest. Maid service, fresh towels and changed bedding is not available each day. If needed, any group member, or a condo can exchange their provided towels, and bed linens for fresh ones at the front desk.
- Groups staying at the Vintage will most likely be assigned a ski rental shop at the Winter Park Resort base. Ski rentals from ski resort allow for convenient overnight storage at the resort base. Although there are ski lockers at the Vintage, these would not be used since since skiers and boarders can store their boards, poles, and/or skis at their rental shop overnight, usually in a black ski rack cart, at the resort base. Boots (and helmets?) cannot be left at rental shop overnight, and should be worn or carried back to the Vintage each night.
- Within the Vintage property, there is an outdoor heated pool, hot tub, dry sauna, small workout facility, coin op laundry and ski lockers.
- Conference/meeting spaces could be available for rental. Go through the festival when planning your trip if a large meeting space is needed.
- For transportation to and from the town of Winter Park for shopping and groceries throughout the day, the local ski shuttle service can be accessed from the resort’s main ski shuttle pick-up/drop off at the resort base. During the evening hours, after the Cabriolet Lift closes, there is a 14 passenger van resort shuttle for service between the Vintage and resort base, from 5:45 pm and 10:45 pm.
- For groups staying at the Vintage and attending the awards ceremony: the Village Cabriolet will re-open at 6:45 pm on the evening of the awards ceremony, and close at 9:15 pm for travel between the Vintage and resort base, where the awards/street dance will be held.
- The festival’s Per Person Festival Package price is based on maximum condo occupancy. Empty bed space charge per space per night applies for all condos filled less than maximum occupancy
- If a group chooses to prepare meals within one or two condos, and members within all other condos have been instructed to receive their meal from this condo(s), the group cannot create a line in the hallway for meals being served! This is an interruption to other guests accessing their condos, and for guests within adjacent condos. Consider communicating when members of a particular condo only, can retrieve their meal within the serving condo, by not waiting within the hallway, one condo at a time.
- Whenever a group wishes to have everyone meet at one location, and your group is a size that would completely fill a lobby space, or obstruct a facility entrance, or creates high noise levels- PLEASE move to a location (even outside) that keeps guests from accessing their condos in any way, or disrupt other guests!
- Every director should demand members of every condo, to perform an inspection of each condo’s condition when first arriving in the condos! Every condo will have an inspection of its condition whenever its members check-out, with all damages being reported, and possibly being charged to the group. An immediate inspection upon arrival may reduce the possibility of damages being mistakenly charged to your group. Each condo will receive a “Pre-inspection Damage Room Checklist Form” to be completed by each condo, and must be returned to the front desk within ONE HOUR from check-in. All condo damages must be listed on this form as instructed.

- These are two side by side condo buildings, located directly across the street from resort ski base. In other words, just a short walk between your condos and the slopes
- Each group’s Trip Info report (on WPSMF Online for directors) has overnight lodging facility address, contact info, earliest check-in time, latest checkout times, and front desk location.
- The front desk for Fraser Crossing and Founders Point condos is across the street at the Zephyr Mountain Lodge, just inside the front doors off the front circle drive. Your initial check-in will most likely be at this front desk with a resort lodging host, as indicated within your Trip Info report.
- Any group staying in these condos will find everything at the resort base within walking distance. For transportation to off-resort destinations, like the Town of Winter Park, use the local free ski shuttle service. The resort’s main hub for all shuttle routes is also within walking distance. And, there is also a shuttle bus stop directly across the street from these condos.
- Most condos are either studio or one bedroom condos that sleep 4 persons. A very limited number of two bedrooms (sleep 6) are available.
- All condos have either kitchenettes or full kitchens for your own meal preparation. Use the kitchenette (microwave with convection feature, 2 burner stove, under counter mini fridge, dishwasher and coffee maker), or full kitchen (refrigerator, microwave with convection feature, 4 burner stove top oven, dishwasher and coffee maker) for your own meal preparations. Either kitchenette or kitchen will contain pots, pans, and dishware appropriate for its guests capacity. If your group is planning to cook within one condo, for many persons in several condos, chances are a condo’s pots, pans, and skillets will not be large enough. Zephyr Mountain Lodge Condos (a ski-in/out property)

Resources for Registered Groups
Ski Locker
Is a website dedicated specifically for the directors of our registered groups. This online resource contains all the festival information regarding their trip. For example, you can view trip information reports, adjust attendance counts and build group rooming lists. Ski Locker also allows Directors to monitor the progress of their student’s individual online registration in Start Gate.
Start Gate
Is the online portal for all students and adults registered to attend the festival. Participants can learn more about their recreation options, suggested clothing/items to pack and helpful information to prevent altitude sickness. All attending students and adults will be required to read WPSMF Start Gate topics and individually registering through this portal.
WPSMF App
We have teamed up with guidebook to create an app accessible by all registered directors during their time with us at festival. The WPSMF App will allow directors to access all the pertinent information provided on Ski Locker via their smart phone while on the mountain and stay in the know. Important updates and notification to groups will be sent via the app during the festival.
